Incorporated in 2006, Red Licorice Studios was formerly known as Black Ink and founded in 1992. Founded by Rochon Perry, who noticed a growth of creative people starting their own self-publishing and independent animation companies. The company was established to provide the promotional and marketing direction for their business ventures. In 2000, the company became a multicultural marketing communications company, in addition to authors and self-publishers, Red Licorice Studios now has clients from film, music, non profits and small business.
